The National Taxation Bureau of Taipei, Ministry of Finance, stated that individuals can consolidate various carriers to store cloud-based invoices under their mobile barcode, namely a universal carrier. By using the carrier to store cloud-based invoices at the time of purchase and setting up a bank account for prize redemption, consumers can quickly and conveniently claim prizes.
The Bureau explained that, in order to encourage individuals to use carriers for storing cloud-based invoices, the government offers a variety of carriers categorized into universal and non-universal carriers. Universal carriers refer to those that can be used at all stores issuing cloud-based invoices, such as mobile barcodes. Non-universal carriers include membership carriers issued by businesses, electronic payment cards (e.g., EasyCard, iPASS), credit cards (including debit cards), and email carriers used by offshore electronic services suppliers. The term "carrier consolidation" refers to linking the aforementioned various carriers to a mobile barcode.
The Bureau stated that individuals can consolidate various carriers under their mobile barcode through the following two methods:
Method 1: Log into the Ministry of Finance's e-Invoice Integration Service Platform (hereinafter referred to as the Integration Service Platform) and go to the "Carrier Consolidation Settings" page to consolidate various carriers.
Method 2: Download the "Ministry of Finance Uniform Invoice Prize Redemption APP" (hereinafter referred to as the Redemption APP) on a mobile device. After logging in with a mobile number and verification code, select "Carrier Consolidation" and then "Add Carrier" to consolidate various carriers.
After completing the above carrier consolidation, one can go to the "Prize Redemption Settings" page on the Integration Service Platform, click on "Activate Bank Transfer," fill in the prize redemption information, and enjoy service of automatically transferring winnings to the designated account. Carrier consolidation only requires a one-time setup, saving time and effort, and helps avoid forgetting to claim the prize or missing the deadline. Alternatively, users can go to the Redemption APP, click on "System Settings," fill in "Personal Information Settings" and "Prize Redemption Information," and complete the financial institution account setup.
It is also necessary to click "I Want to Claim My Prize" at least 24 hours before the prize redemption deadline to claim prizes in real-time for each period of the uniform invoice.
The Bureau urges the public to complete the consolidation of various carriers for cloud-based invoices and make full use of the bank account setup feature for prize redemption. This ensures their rights to claim prizes, saving both time and effort.
