Kaohsiung Customs Provides Clearance Service During Dragon Boat Festival Holidays
In order to facilitate customs clearance service, during the consecutive Dragon Boat Festival holidays, from June 8 to June 10, 2024, Kaohsiung Customs will provide the following measures:
1. On June 7, the day before the Dragon Boat Festival, except for special cases, general import/export customs clearance cases will be processed on the same day.
2. From June 8 to June 10, during the Dragon Boat Festival holidays
(1) General import /export cargo
The office hour for clearance of general cargo is from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Instead of filing application in advance, importers/exporters can refer to the attachment and contact KHC units respectively for clearance service. Please notice that all clearance of imported sea cargo will be processed in Xiaogang Branch only.
Meanwhile, during the aforementioned office hours, application for physical examination of cargo is exempt from special cargo inspection fee.
(2) Non-Intrusive Inspection (NII)
The NII will be provided at the NII station of the 5th Container Terminal (Wharf No.74) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. In case of malfunction, the redundancy measures will be announced. (The first alternative of NII station is at the 2nd Container Terminal and the second is at the 4th)
(3) Postal Parcels
KHC will dispatch officers to be on duty to fit the work schedule of Chunghwa Post Office.
Kaohsiung Office will provide customs clearance service from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on June 8.
Tainan Office will provide customs clearance service from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m. on June 8.
(4) Luggage of Travelers
The clearance service for travelers' luggage is in accordance with the schedules of flights and cruise ships as usual.
