Ombudsmen protects your tax health
Huwei Office, National Taxation Bureau of the Central Area (NTBCA), Ministry of Finance (M.O.F.), expressed that in order to implement the substantive equality of status of both parties, the Taxpayer Rights Protection Act (hereinafter "this Act") makes it mandatory to appoint taxpayer rights protection ombudsmen (hereinafter "ombudsmen") among its tax collection authorities. When taxpayers seek remedy in accordance with laws, ombudsmen shall provide essential consultation and assistance. Therefore, the taxpayers can apply for assistance from ombudsmen to safeguard their own rights and interests.
The Huwei Office further explained that in addition to applying for assistance from ombudsmen in person, the taxpayers can also apply through various means such as writing, telephone, fax, e-mail, and the internet. If it is inconvenient for taxpayers to go to tax collection authorities for interviews or coordination, they can also use their cell phones, tablets, or computers to consult or interview with the ombudsmen through video software, so taxpayers can make more use of them.
