Filing Period of 2020 Alien Individual Income Tax Return will be Extended to June 30th, 2021 and Tax filing service counter will be closed till May 28th, 2021

Response to the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) raised the COVID-19 alert,  the filing period of 2020 alien individual income tax return will be extended to June 30th, 2021 and tax filing service counter (including walking-in filing, e-filing help and supporting documents submission)  will be closed till May 28th, 2021.

The National Taxation Bureau of Kaohsiung, Ministry of Finance stated that if foreign taxpayers file their income tax return via e-Filing system, the deadline of any document required for filing will be extended to July 12th, 2021. Taxpayers shall submit it in person or send it by post to the tax authority with jurisdiction over the location of the address given on their Alien Resident Certificate.

The bureau urged taxpayers to file tax by e-Filing system to avoid crowded venues. If you have any queries,  you can call the toll-free service telephone number at 0800-000-321.
