National Taxation Bureau of the Northern Area (NTBNA), Ministry of Finance, stated that on December 22, 2021, the Ministry of Finance amended Article 15 of Regulations Governing Anti-money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism for bookkeepers and tax return filing agents, so that vocational training can be conducted in the form of physical or video courses. The number of training hours per year shall not be less than 2 hours.
The Bureau further stated that bookkeepers should participate in on-the-job training of Anti-money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism organized by Taiwan Certified Tax Agents Association, Tax-Accountancy Association Union, local associations of municipalities and cities, the National Taxation Bureaus of five regions, Ministry of Finance or through professional training institutions approved by National Taxation Bureaus of the five regions, Ministry of Finance, in accordance with Article 24 of the management approach stipulated in Article 35 of Certified Public Bookkeepers Act. The above institutions of on-the-job training shall issue a certificate of completion of training (including hours and course certificates), and within 15 days after the end of the training, inform the roster of qualified trainees, the name of the training course, the number of hours of training and other information to the National Taxation Bureau where the trainee’s office and workplace are located.
